Last interview of Pubudu Dassanayake before his departure


Kathmandu : Having scripted glorious days of Nepali cricket in the last four years, Pubudu Dassanayake has left for His country Canada quitting as the Nepali national team coach.
Before going Dassanayake said Nepal cricket had the potential to become the next full member of International Cricket Council (ICC) . “Nepal has a better chance than others to become ICC’s full member.
There are lots of question marks and lot of things to be done for that. If you are able to put right things in right place, you are there in Ten years’ time,” he added. He led the team for the one last time in the ICC World Cricket League Championship (WCL) matches against PNG in the UAE last week.

12 Amazing Record of Mehbood alam

Kathmandu : It’s in the Guiness Book of World Records. Left arm medium pacer Mehboob Alam has the world record of single handedly bowling out an opponent doing the honour by picking up 10 wickets against Mozambique. The match was contested as part of the 2008 ICC World Cricket League Division five competition.

Following Mehboob’s unbelievable performance, Mozambique were bowled out for just 19 runs in 14.5 overs after Nepal had made 238-7 in 50 overs. Nine of Mozambique batsmen failed to open their account.

The accomplishment has only happened professionally in two other instances, both in Test cricket once each by Jim Laker (england) and Anil Kumble (India).

MCC Captain and Leicestershire all rounder Neil Dexter Speaking About Nepal Tour 2015

Kaluwitharana Next Coach of Nepali Cricket ??


Kathmandu : According to Soucre Romesh Kaluwitharana currently U 19 Coach of Sri lanka Could be Next Coach of Nepal . If it is True than He Would be 3rd Sri lankan Coach of  Nepal.
Romesh Kaluwitharana, born on November 24, 1969, was a wicketkeeper batsman who represented Sri Lanka in the 1990s and the early 2000s. He played 49 Tests, 189 One-Day Internationals (ODIs) and is best remembered for his destructive opening partnerships with Sanath Jayasuriya.


He coached Colts CC while conducting a career as an insurance executive. He was appointed by Sri Lanka Cricket to be a member of the 2006 ACC Committee to Evaluate China, and in 2008 took temporary charge of Malaysia. Kaluwitharana lost his father at the age of five and was raised by his mother.

Papua New Guinea defeat Nepal by 3 wickets Again

Kathmandu : Nepal went down by 2 wickets to lose its second match of the ICC World Cricket League Championship played in Abu Dhabi of United Arab Emirates on Wednesday. Nepal had posted a target of 225 runs at the match played in Abu Dhabi.
Electing to bat first after losing the toss, Nepal made disastrous start losing both openers Anil Mandal and Subash Khakurel at zero run.

But then, Sagar pun (47), Gyanendra Mall (36), Paras Khadka and blitzing performance by Sharad Vesawkar lifted Nepal to a commendable score. Vesawkar made 42 runs off 45 ball smashing one four. PNG chased down a modest 225 run target set by Nepal with 2 balls to spare.

Earlier, Nepal lost to PNG by two wickets in the first match played on Monday.


Although Nepal has already played Four matches, it is still winless in the championship being played by eight teams in round robin format. The top six teams will get chances to play qualifiers for the 2019 ICC World Cup.

Kathmandu | Nepal is playing against Papua New Guinea today in the Second match of ICC World Cricket League Championship on Wednesday.

The match starts at 11:15 Am at Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi in UAE. Earlier, Nepal faced thrilling two wicket defeat against PNG in the first leg of the second round of the ICC World Cricket League Championship On Sunday at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi, in the United Arab Emirates. Before the championship, Nepal played four matches, three 50 overs and a two day match.

Netherlands stands at first position with six points, while Scotland is in second position, followed by Kenya, which secures third position. All teams will play two matches against every team and the top six teams will play the 2019 ICC World Cup Qualifiers.

PNG Beat Nepal by 2 wicket

KATHMANDU: Papua New Guinea defeated Nepal by two wickets in their ICC World Cricket League Championship played in Abu Dhabi of UAE TodayPNG chased down a modest 233 run target set by Nepal with 3 balls to spare.

The ICC World Cricket League Championship, which is the pathway for participating teams to play in the ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifier and subsequently have a chance to qualify for ICC Cricket World Cup 2019, is an elite 50 over competition played between leading Associate and Affiliate members.

Earlier, NepalI Captain paras khadka had won the toss and elected to bat first. They lost opener Anil  Mandal for the very first ball of the game. Sagar Pun too fell on the eighth over on 10. After Gyanendra Malla (23) and Paras Khadka (6) both returned to pavilion cheaply, Khakurel and Bheswakar both lifted their side from 86 for four to finish with a competitive total at Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi.

Nepal vs PNG Match Preview


Kathmandu- Nepal will play the second round of the ICC World Cricket League Championship against Papua New Guinea (PNG) Tomorrow at Zayed Cricket Stadium, UAE. This is Nepal,s second match in ICC World Cricket League. Nepal got defeated in the hands of Scotland by three runs and 9 wickets in two matches that were played in 29th July and 30th/1st August respectively.

Nepal Bat first against oman ( Nepal vs Oman )




UAE | Oman captain won the toss and asked Nepal to bat First on Saturday. This is the last match before a WCL. Nepal, who meet PNG on November 16 and 18, opened the tour  set by the International Cricket Council - with a drawn two-day game against Hong Kong before locking horns with Pakistan side that included their regular ODI starters. Although Nepal lost the game by 121 runs, they were lauded for a valiant batting effort they put in against a strong Pakistani pace attack.

Nepal and Oman has meet each other for three times while Nepal has been able to defeat them only once and that was in 2007 ACC T20 Trophy.

Nepal vs Pakistan Match Preview

Dubai - Nepali cricket team is all set to play against Pakistan tomorrow , ahead of their World Cricket League Championship matches. This is the first time Nepal national team is playing a Test playing nation in 50 over format of the game.  Nepal’s only encounter against a Test playing nation was against Bangladesh but it came in cricket’s shortest format during the 2014 ICC World Twenty twenty in Chittagong. Pakistan will be in the UAE for their home series against England from October 13 to November 30, while Nepal will fly to Abu Dhabi for the World Cricket League Championship.



















The World Cricket League Championship matches were originally scheduled to be held in Katmandu but The International Cricket Council (ICC) shifted the fixtures to the UAE because of poor preparation. Before starting the One day series on November 11, both England and Pakistan will play one warm up match each on Tomorrow . England will take on Hong Kong on the same day. Since Nepal have a Division 2 status, the match against Pakistan will count as List ‘A’ encounter.


Nepal will play their two home matches against PNG under the the World Cricket League Championship on November 16 and 18 in the UAE. The entire schedule for Nepal ahead of the PNG matches has been arranged by International Cricket Council (ICC). Nepal have lost their first round of the World Cricket League Championship 2-0 away to Scotland and sit at second from the bottom. Apart from PNG and Scotland, Nepal will also play the UAE, Hong Kong, Namibia, the Netherlands and Kenya in the World Cricket League Championship. No any television broadcast of this match.
